Here are photos that i shoot during our trip to taiwan back in 2011. That's the bad part of using film, need to wait for a long time before we can really see the result. This batch of photos took with my EOS 50 with Kodak Gold (expired).

Anyhow, i still like the result from the camera. Some may ask me what so nice about shooting using film? not sharp, colour funny...bla bla bla. For film shooter, i'm sure we all like the non-perfect images that the film deliver.

During the new year holiday, i manage to scan all 5 roll of films. phew....

most of them taken with my EOS 50, so far i've not load any fresh film on this camera. Will try and see during this CNY, hope it give me a good result.

Recently, i exchange my Lomo LC-A with a mint XA2+A11. A few of my friend told me LC-A worth more than XA2, why so stupid got exchange. Well, just to try out more different camera. Is a zone focus camera, i'm quite happy with it. Love the result with this little camera.

This is the first time i shoot food, thanks to Sunny for letting me try out on his dessert. Some of the photos here will be appear in HIS CUP OF TEA's menu, a newly open cafe in Taman Tabanac, Lahad Datu. A cafe that is truly run by hong kong chef and serve only hong kong dessert. Just share some of the shot i took.

Strobe setup is pretty simple in this series, 580 EX II on remote, trigger by ST-E2 on my 5D, Lens in use is Canon 24-105.

Not long ago, i got myself a film SLR, Canon EOS 50. Yeah, EOS 50 and not 50D. run 1 roll of expired kodak gold 400 with it, very happy with the result. all the shot was taken with f/4 @ 1/125 with flash on ETTL mode. Share some of the photos i took. Model is still the same, haha. my little girl.

I notice there are colour difference in this batch of photos, some tend to be very warm and some tend to be very cool. Not too sure why, cant find the AWB button on my camera, HAHA.

Here are some photos that i took with mamiya, portra 160. Even it took quite a long time for it to develop, reach me and scan. But i'm very happy and enjoy using it. The feel is totally different when you shoot with a MF. Still learning, may fail photos there. Can't really remember when i took all this shot, that's the main drawback of using film.

I got myself a LCA recently, bring it along during my KL trip. I shoot 3 roll of film with it, but at the end turn out only 2 shot which i think still 'okay'. Out of 72 shots, 70 shots remain super underexpose.

In fact this 2 shots was done under super bright sunshine, still a bit under for my taste. May be that's why lomo, haha.

Will try again with all sunshine shoot, and also ASA need to be adjust boost up the exposure to +1 stop.

Finally my hi lift jack is done. Painted with red and black, try to mimic ARB hi lift jack. This is a Tamiya stock jack model, the hole was drilled to make it more realistic, and the plastic that hold the arm and jack was removed.

Here is some photos i took on the same day, masking all the yellow body and left the part which i want it to be in black colour. Can't wait to see it unmask later. Here are some photos to show whichever area that will be in black colour.

This is the longest weekend i have so far, both my dear went to KL for 2 weeks. Yesterday i've plenty of time to complete my 'task' which drag over 1 year. Here are some progress of my Jeep Wrangler YJ, the first coat of yellow on the car body. Will proceed with the black colour roof cover in the coming 'holiday'.

My first instant film... INSTAX WIDE

Yeah, i finally get my hand on instant film. I choose instax wide because it's cheaper compare to polaroid. I load the film to the mamiya back inside the changing back, take it out for a shoot.

After the shot, i take the film out and 'process' inside the changing bag. Then only i realize the chemical is on a different side vs the polaroid 665 film.

This is my masterpieces, haha, which i myself also dunno what's that.

I still got 9 more to go, hopefully the 2nd film have some 'images' and not so artistic.

Holga 135 BC revisit

Few days ago, i took out those film that i shoot with Holga 135 BC. This time i scan it with my 9000F at 1200dpi. For a plastic camera, i'm quite happy with the result. The scanned result is much better compare to the photos scanned with DSLR, haha.

Velvia 100F x-pro

After waiting for 6 months or more, i'm not sure. haha, i finally got my 120 film back. This is a Fuji Velvia 100F, it was a positive film, since i can hardly find the developer here, i made it cross-process in C41. Again, Thanks for Nicholas for the halp. This is my first roll of 120 film, and it was the first film that i ran it on my Mamiya RB67, together with sekor 127mm.

I'm so impress with the colour and tone of the photos that i scan.

Here i share some of the photos, all scan with 9000F with no adjustment, only resize. Although majority of the photos is not perfect exposure, but i still love it.

Yeah, another batch of photos from film, i'm addicted to film. But i'm still not able to get the consistent result. This batch of photos is running on expired Kodak Ultramax 400, 24 EXP on my Yashica Electro 35 GSN.

I notice the photos where i took with available light (outdoor), the picture still acceptable, it can me sharper IMO. For those indoor shot, seriously out, but it also create some funny 'LOMO' + X-pro effects. WB out? hahaha...

It has been quite some time i didn't update my blog, reason? lazy.... i think that's the best reason. here are some photos i took on my little one and my lovely wife during our CNY trip back to KL.

This photo meant a lot to me, i was hesitate to take out my camera to take photo at the beginning. My wife told me, next year she'll be in diff posing. This suddenly wake me up, took out my gear and shoot without any hesitation.

This is the second time i post my little daughter photos here, what is difference in this series is all photos was taken with my FM2n + AIS 50mm. I was really amaze with the colour that the film give, now i really enjoy shooting film, the only trouble is need to wait before can really see the negative, then scan it. It was a long process, but this is the fun part.

All photos here i didn't do any editing other than resize, even my watermark also dun bother to put in. lazy...... hahahaha.

GakkenFlex TLR

A month ago, i got myself a DIY LOMO TLR camera, GakkenFlex. It is really fun building it up from the part they provided. Surprisingly, the photos is nice with its special effect, some sort like zooming in.

This is simple and basic camera, good stuff.

Here is some photos taken using GakkenFlex TLR with Superia 400 film. Final image scan with 9000F. No edit was done, only resize.

Finally, i've finish the roll of 24 EXP superia 200. I'm so excited to see how's the outcome from this lomo camera. Out of this 24 exposures, i able to sort out 12 shot from this roll of film, although some of it under and some over due to too greedy, worry it will be under and run in bulb mode.

anyhow, this is a good try and good start. looking forward to see another roll developed later from gakkenflex.

All photos was scanned with DSLR and convert to colour photos in photoshop.

Few days ago, i've done a 2 way qso with 9M6WST in V17 qrg, 145.2125Mhz in USB mode. This is the first time i've did a qso out of FM mode. During qso in SSB mode, you'll laugh all the way to the end of qso, because both side of our sound will be sound like transformer or donald duck.

Anyhow this is a good try for me in HAM radio. 73.

Pharmnite 2010, Hospital Lahad Datu.

Last saturday, I'm fortunate enough to join my wife for their pharmnite 2010 annual dinner at one of the local hotel in Lahad Datu. As usual, i'll bring along my camera and do some shooting.

I push my camera to ISO3200 due to low light inside the ball room. WB to Auto mode, but the result is very disappointing. Pictures turn out to be yellow cast and very noisy. Although the IS might help a bit, but still some picture turn out blur.

A gift from mentor

Yeah, this is a gift from my HAM mentor 9M6WST, as a welcome gift to the world of HAM radio (POISON!!!!). I got my HAM Callsign back in April 2010, holding callsign 9W6PWS.

Just a brief info sharing here. There are 2 type of license in Malaysia for HAM operator, that are Class A and Class B license. Class A operator holding a 9Mxxxx, while Class B holding a 9Wxxxx. For you to hold a Class A license, you need to pass a morse code test with 12wpm. (I'm working hard on this)

Some may notice there are 9W6xxx, 9W2xxx and also 9W8xxx. All this set buy ITU, 9W6xxx is HAM operator in Sabah, 9W2 is in West Malaysia, while 9W8xxx is those in Sarawak, this same goes to 9Mxxxx.

Yeah, i got my Holga 135BC. It is a super plastic camera, super light, i love it. And the mechanism is great! I even get myself the fish eye kit for this Holga 135, still waiting the film to be develop and find out how's the photos turn out.

the film strap i attach is some of the old photos that i took and just got them develop, trying to scan with DSLR, but the colour seems very blue cast. Still experimenting, just share and need feedback, hehe.

LOMO poison is STRONG !!!

During the last trip to sandakan, i'm able to try Clement Lee Fisheye 2 lomo camera, the lomo poison keep on growing and recently being poison by FM Kwan, this time is really in deep shit lomo poison. Planning to get myself a Holga 135BC perhaps with the fisheye adapter as well.

This is a photo i took during my recent sandakan trip, trying to make it lomo-ish digitally, mimic cross prosessed in photoshop. But i still cant get it to what i want.

The first picture is the original un-edit version, only resize for web purpose.
The second picture is what i'm trying to archive, but .... fail.

Another holiday for malaysian today, anyhow it was just another rest day for me. Took this opportunity to visit Lahad Datu Golf Club and also test my 40D kao kao. Here i share some photos i took with my 40D. To be honest, i'm not very happy with the photos, as in not sharp as i want. Possible due to my hand shaking as well.

One Day Sandakan Trip

It was a long holiday in sabah during the last weekend, i took this chance to go sandakan with 2 of my friends and also my new baby (40D and 24-105). Where is my wife? Hehe, she's having her dim sum in Hong Kong. Yeah....

This is a 'Food Hunting' trip, from the moment we step in sandakan till we left, all food. I must give a big big credit to Jason Lim and also Clement Lee and his wife for such a great hospitality and bring us around for nice food. After the food session, i manage to join Clement and Kah Yee for model shooting session in St. Michael Church.

I'm still learning how to use 40D, here i share some of the photos i took.

At the moment, i'm still waiting AROC from SKMM to apply my Callsign. Hopefully by that time i got my HAM callsign, can qso with HAM around the world.

Yesterday, we met a backpacker from russia. Have a wee chat with him, found out that he's away from saint Petersburg, Russia for more than 6 months. Just arrive from Nunukan, Indonesia. Going toward west, to sarawak, west malaysia then all the way up back to his hometown, wonder how long he need to travel back home.

Today, Dr Rajan from our local government hospital came my shop to buy some hypertension medicines. This is the second time he came, because hospital only prescribe generic for him. Below is our conversation:

Dr. Rajan : Give me Nxxxxxx 5mg

Me : How many strip do you need, Dr?

Dr. Rajan : Give me 2, but with the price of one box that you promised last time.

(suddenly his phone rang)

Dr. Rajan : You, go turn off your radio, my call from india, very important, and very noisy here.

(After 10mins........)

Me : Sorry, i cant give that price base on 2 strip. I'm willing to give that price as cost if you buy one box.

Dr. Rajan : Ok, I buy one box but when my Dr. prescribe a different drug, i'd like to return and get refund.

Me : Really sorry, I'm doing my best here to give the best price.

Dr. Rajan : Other pharmacy accept refund and exchange, how come you cannot do that? Dr. and Pharmacist not suppose to help each other? Let see, the expiry date is 2014, when i return to you, you still can sell it, you got nothing to loose, tell me why you cant?

Me : Erm...... Sorry, we can't do that. The best price RM1yy.00 per box.

Dr. Rajan : Ok Ok, give me one box. You are very unfriendly.

My first HF RIG !!!

Just kidding, it is a SW radio. (short wave radio). I get poisoned into HAM not long ago, i found this hobby more and more interesting that it deal with almost anythings in the earth. Can you imagine using a SW or HF (high frequency) one single signal can be transmitted from china can reach malaysia without any repeater in between.

This is my first SW radio, currently monitoring 13.6000 Mhz to 13.700 Mhz for one good radio.

Eat full, sell 'pao'

I'm pretty sure a lot of chinese do understand the title, eat full, sell 'pao'. Want to share one incident that happen recently in my business life.

Some of you might come across sheep placenta, recently there is a brand of sheep placenta is quite famous, MF III PE Soft Gel Sheep Placenta. What so special about this placenta? I'm not too sure, may be is the best or just branding. Anyway, it is selling at RM660.00 RSP for one month consumption.

After a long conversation with the distributor in malaysia, LAB DOM AVMM SUISSE (M) SDN. BHD., i manage to make a order of 50boxes of MF3 PE SoftGel. They require me to pay up front, so they can proceed with the order and deliver the stock to me once the payment is made. What to do? i desperately need the stock and customer is waiting. As their request, i've bank in RM18150.00 to their account ASAP.

2 days later, they said they've receive the payment will send out the stock ASAP. Another 2 days, i called them up about the status of my stock. Their reply is ''Mr. Pang, we are so sorry, we cannot supply to you and will refund the money to you, because sabah and sarawak is distribute by one pharmacy in MIRI, SARAWAK''

If they really cannot supply, just tell me cannot supply and i will tell my customer MF3 not willing to sell to me, please go MIRI to buy. After all the payment, rushing here and there, they said cannot supply and will do refund.

After dinner, i took out the LX3 for some fun shot. Pictures taken under tungsten light, location is living room. All the pictures taken with Aperture priority as i found the manual in LX3 very difficult to control. The first pix is watermelon taken in macro mode, f/2 @ 1/2 second shutter with IS on, ISO 200, auto white balance, but still not very sharp and the white balance seems like.......

All this pictures is straight from camera, only resize in photoshop has been carried out.

Malaysia Boleh !!!...... Mask Boleh!!!

Because of this H1N1, mask are selling like a hot cake. Our 'smart' government has a good plan to handle this issue, to prevent retailer earn too much and also able to let mask supplier to earn the most. That's how smart our government, i love it.

Today, KPDNKK come and visit me. They come and check what price i'm selling for the mask, I'm sure the best way to find out will be test buy, rather than just ask, am i right? If you ask, sure i'm telling you that i'm selling the lowest price that they've fixed. May be they want to get it done fast, can go have some tea or coffee.

I'm quite surprise they need 6 persons to come to do this checking. Malaysia Boleh.

Let me blog out what i knew that happen recently in one of the local hospital. How true is it, you judge yourself.

One evening, a pharmacist got a phone call from hospital, asking her what is the alternative medication for midazolam antidote, flumazenil. Because hospital is running out of stocak at that time. ( I believe most the time out of stock)

Once i heard this, I thought someone taking high dose midazolam to commit suicide, that's why hospital is looking for flumazenil. But the truth is one of the doctor gave IV midazolam to a kids and it was overdosed.

I'm quite curious how the dr will settle this case, forward the patient to other town? or just leave it and wish the kids will wake up on his own?

Quite some time i didn't blog, quite busy with my life and my pharmacy.

As a retail pharmacist, everyday we are dealing with medicines, sometimes we do have prescription from doctor asking us to dispense certain medication for their patients. For a medicines to be dispensed, we need to have a valid prescription from doctor. What will be a valid prescription?

(a) be in writing signed and dated by the prescriber thereof;

Section 24.(2)
In this section "prescription" means any written or oral instruction to the seller or supplier to supply any poison, or medicine containing any poison, for the purpose of medical, dental or animal treatment of any person or animal, given by any person; and "prescriber" means the person giving such instructions or causing such instructions to be given to the seller or supplier.

Why i blog this out? Recently there is poison enforcer come and inspect my shop, asking me why should i accept Dr's prescription which is no clinic / hospital letter head, but with all the details that is stated in the Poison Act, 1952. Does she know the law well before she take any action?

I believe in other field also, this kind of things happen quite frequent. We don't clarify with them on the spot because we want a peaceful life, we just want to do business. Please take action on those who really against the law.

My parents did a short trip to semporna yesterday and bought 5 'tortoise' back. Since i really nothings to do, give this few 'tortoise' some photo session. One of it with blue hat, probably it's the leader of them, haha.

Recenly i've install a mobile antenna on the car, it is a Diamond MC-101, mobile commercial antenna, 1.4meter long. Yeah, i just install the mobile antenna, mobile radio still pending, haha.

I got my mobile antenna installed in one of the top car accessories shop in Lahad Datu, Suntack Aircond Sdn. Bhd.

Last sunday, few of us follow our friend, Robert to one of the private resort in Lahad Datu, is about 30mins drive from Lahad Datu town. Thanks Robert for bringing us to this beautiful place.

Due to some reasons, I didn't bring my camera along. Thus pictures shown here is taken with Raynon Lee a.k.a. LD3's Sony T90, credit give to him. This outing, radio is fully utilize, on the way to the resort, even we have our boat ride, each of us keep in touch via radio, awesome!

Last but not least, Danny Wong a.k.a. LD2 and also James Wong a.k.a. 9M6WST preparing nice food for us. Anyhow, we would like to have this outing again in the very near future.

Recently i got into this new hobby, amateur radio or more commonly know as ham. After get some serious poison form 9M6WST (James), LD2 (Danny) and LD3 (Lee). I got my first Icom handy. I'm still very new in this hobby, the beauty of this hobby is not pressing the PTT and keep on talking, is more on making your own gadget, own electronic device, even make a GPS tracking system that run on radio frequency, which is 9M6WST currently working on.

I've been quite some time no update my blog, quite lazy to update and there is actually quite a lot of interesting stuff that i can share here. As a retail pharmacist, things that we normally encounter will be price issue, customer argue or scold you from your grand grand parents till your children for 10cents or any amount.

Let's put it in a dialog form, what happen this morning.

ABC : How come so expensive? I bought it for 1 something only.

Me : Oh... 1 something is really cheap, where you get it?

Doctor's way of dispensing.

Have been in retail pharmacy life for quite sometimes, we come across a lot of funny prescription by doctor. Some of them simply give, why? i really don't know and don't want to comments. Let me share one of it here, which happen this morning.

One 50 years ++ aunty came in my pharmacy, asking me to give some advice on her medication.

AMTAS (amlodipine) 10mg take at morning
SIMVACOR (simvastatin) 40mg take at night
VYTORIN (ezetimibe + simvastatin) 10/20 take at morning

Take a look at the medication that this DR gave, Amlodipine which is antihypertensive drug given at morning, no problems.

The problems is the cholesterol lowering agent, both of this should be taken at night and not morning, how can this Dr don't know about this? Perhaps he didn't do well in his pharmacology.

For those in Lahad Datu, can drop me an email. I'll tell you who is this Dr, quite famous. Hahaha.

Recently, there is a news from The Star, Compugates to develop pharmacy chain.

There is somethings i want to bring up somethings which i think related to the above case, below is a conversation between me and a local doctor happen few days ago in my shop, the conversation was in malay, i translate it to english.

Dr : Normally pregnant lady take what supplement. (A pregnant lady stand next to him)

Me : Mostly they took Obimin, Iberat Folic and now there is a new one called Obimin Pluz.

Dr : What price you can give me for Obimin Pluz? Give me doctor price, I'm government
doctor. (Didn't show me his working tag)

Me : Erm....... ok, RMxx.xx, this is the best price for you.

Dr : Cannot be lower? i'm doctor.

Me : No, this is the best price for you.

Dr : Lower somemore, i'm government doctor. By the way, what's the difference of Iberat Folic
and Obimin.

Me : Iberat Folic is Hematinic.

Dr : Obimin also got hematinic?

Me : Yes

Dr : Your price can lower? I'm doctor.

Me : That's the lowest.

The main point of this conversation is not about the price slashing, is the supplements.

After i find out from friends around LD, this guy is a medical doctor in one of the local hospital and he's a O&G doctor, what is O&G? Here is the link.

How can a O&G doctor don't know anythings about this basic supplement for pregnant lady, I'd suggest him to read a post from my friend regarding vitamins in pregnancy.

What type of medical doctor is this? Malaysia will have too much doctor by year 2013, this will be very true. Quantity and not quality.

Industrial Shoot for Ibau Hamburg. Part II

This was the second session for Ibau Hamburg. In this series, photos mainly cover the piping from port to the silos and some photos to show how's the truck picking up the cement bag.

Photos in this series was taken from port and some was taken on top of another silos belong to LDFM (Lahad Datu Flour Mill). Some might ask where is the aerial shoot as stated in part I, the aerial shot was canceled due to bad weather during the booking period. But i still hope can do the aerial shot for Ibau, may be next time during their servicing in Lahad Datu.

It was a trend now no matter which field you are in, everyone is throwing their price just to attract more 'price royal' customer. Do you think this really a good tactic in business?

Recently i have a wee chat with one of my competitor to standardize some of the item that we selling, both of us was shock when we saw the price list by another pharmacy in my town, the selling price is ridiculous low. When we find out more from this pharmacy, this is our conversation...

ME : Hi, how come this product sell at so low price? almost cost?

AA : Because we afraid customer cannot afford to buy, so we lower it, what do you think?

Me : Erm... ok.

Conclusion,
What is the main purpose we do business? charity of make money? I'm not saying to earn few hundred percent profit, but at least reasonable. What's the point if i open a shop and sell everything at cost? I can be paid free, how bout rental, staff, electricity?......

Holiday @ phuket

During this chinese new year, we took this opportunity to have a small break in phuket. We had a lot of fun in phuket and queen have a good time shopping in phuket,we rent a motorbike travel around phuket island. (which i myself never ride on the road before, no license, no skill, but FUN !!!)

We join some local tour to phi phi island, james bond island and also some other island which i can't remember their name.

Industrial shoot for Ibau Hamburg

I was hired by MR H.Mueller from IBAU HAMBURG to do a industrial shoot for Cement Industries Sabah (CIS), the main things to be included in the photo is the cement silo and the packing plant, some major machinery and also few shots inside the silos.

This is the first part of the photos, second part will be aerial shot. Due to the bad weather in Lahad Datu and Sandakan this few days, the helicopter cannot take off, thus the second session was postponed to next week.

I was told by Mueller that this photo will be presented in a Cement Conference in Dubai.

All photos were taken with my tokina 11-16 and set up with tripod.

I'm looking forward to the aerial shot, hopefully next week weather will be nice, no rain, sunny day.

Ascorbic Acid

In pharmacy, there are a lot of funny things can be happen. I believe in other field also have their own funny story. Below is a conversation of my staff (include me) with a customer.

Customer : Do you have ascorbic acid?

Staff : Yes, we do have. (showing her vitamin c range that we did carry)

Customer : No no no !!!!! I want ascorbic acid, not vitamin C.

Staff : erm...... ascorbic acid is actually vitamin c, the scientific name of vitamin c

Customer : No no no !!!!! (Then this customer left my shop very angry)

Here is some photos i took during one of the wedding shoot in Lahad Datu. Lahad Datu is a very small town, a lot of things you need but you can't find it here, but it is a gate way to Danum Valley and Tabin Wildlife for those who love jungle and wildlife.

Old people like me, i prefer to stay in Lahad Datu more than KL. haha.

Yeah... you can still find KFC here, but u can't find McDonald here.

Hopeless POS Malaysia !!!

Recently i've order a tripod from KL, and send to me with POS Malaysia parcel service. It took 2 weeks for the parcel to reach Lahad Datu. Finally it reach Lahad Datu, the POS office officer called me, below is our conversation. (In Malay, ~~coz they dunno english~~)

POS : You Pang Wee Siang kah?

Me : Ya

POS : Sini pos office, you ada parcel, datang angkat sendiri

Me : Huh? bukankah ada hantar parcel?

POS : Tak ada orang, you datang sendiri lah

Me : Saya kerja tak ada masa pergi, kan ada alamat di parcel sana.

POS : Jadi you mau kami hantar lah

Me : Ya, you boleh hantar kan

POS : Ok lah, kami hantar lah

Me : Jadi bila hantar?

POS : Tengok macam mana, tengok bila senang

Me : OK... you buka sampai jam berapa? (this POS malaysia really hopeless)

POS : Macam biasa lah !!!

Conclusion

POS Malaysia is really hopeless, other courier service send parcel or document from KL to Lahad Datu in 1 day, this POS Malaysia need 2 weeks. Most of the time they are sleeping i guess, haha.

感恩之夜 2008 @ Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Last saturday,27/12/2008, there was a gathering/dinner joint organized by Lahad Datu church. I took this opportunity to test out my tokina 11-16. Shoot anything anytime anywhere, this make me think of 10,000 hours rule, thanks to TED.

What i found out from this tokina 11-16 was, the focusing is slow, i guess it takes about half second to focus from macro to infinity. (I might be wrong, do your own search). The view is wide, really wide, you can notice that the kids shot i've done. There is a common problems with tokina lens, CA. so far i find it's still ok.

New Toy !!! UWA

This is my new toy, tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

I always think that if your lens not tele enough, go closer. Not wide enough? move few step backward. haha, but sometimes with UWA, you dun need to move backward.

How do i find this lens? very solid build worth the money you paid. Too bad this lens is not a AFS/USM lens, focusing tend to be slower compare to my AFS 18-70mm. As a conclusion, i'm very happy with this lens.

I'll post up some photos taken with this lens very soon, stay tuned.

I've been poisoning him for quite some times, but his antidote is super strong for this poison.

Yeah.... finally is my turn. 7th December 2008 is me and my wife big day, to be honest it is really rush and tiring but it is worth. This time i couldn't hold the camera my self, all pictures i posted is here taken by Ted Earl and Kwan FM, it is really important to have a good photographer during your wedding, if possible get at least 2, money can earn back, moment cant. Because it only happen once... no take 2.

50mm fever

One of my friend, after attending a very poisonous workshop. He will be getting his 50mm f/1.4 this week. Another friend just got his 50mm f/1.8

To celebrate this, i took out my 50mm and do some shot. All shot taken with Nikkor AIS 50mm f/1.4 with D70s at ISO1600 @ f/1.4. Shutter forget liao.

I wish to get myself a AF version, there is not cure for this poison.

This is my new toy, Mamiya RB67 Pro-S. It is a medium format SLR, haven't load any film to run it yet, but i'll do it very soon. I got this whole set with a very reasonable price, it come with the Camera body, WLF, Sekor C 127mm f/3.8, two 120 film back, one polaroid back, one shutter release cable and two roll fuji velvia 100F.

Expesive ITEMS, this few bottles of medication cost me RM18k++. I ordered this medication based on my customer request, imagine one normal family how can they afford such expensive medication. A lot of people saying pharmacy earn a lot of money, but i'll say pharma company is the one that earn the most.

Thermo-Hygrometer TH108

Found this MINGLE thermometer with hygrometer at one local shop. With less than RM20.00, I think this is pretty cheap and it works, how accurate? I'm not sure, should do a test with dry box. According to the leaflet of this product, the accuracy for temperature is +/- 2% while for RH is +/-5%.

Few weeks after ROM, we went to one local bridal house to do some pre-wedding shoot, is quite fun but is really tiring. I was really impressed by Jimmy, the main photographer, how he doing shot in studio, using his MAMIYA RB67 with Digital back, that's really cool. Yeah, we have a lot of FUN.

Thanks Jimmy, Audrey and Susan for helping us out and also let me to take video and photo during that wonderful time.

Finally, i got my RF wireless flash trigger, with 1/10 the price of PW, you can have this wonderful gadget.This is a 4 channel RF trigger. This whole set come with one Transmitter, one Receiver and a sync cable. Transmitter work with a 12V 23A battery while Receiver operated by 3V CR2 battery. I've tested it on my DSLR, it also work fine with FM2 and also OM-1.

For those like OCF, I highly recomended. Or.... you can choose PW or RP.

This how the box look like, china made. But WORTH it.

Once you open the box, everythings is inside. No manual, no description, just gear.

With little modification, the range can be extended. To how far? i dunno.
I'll try do some modification on it.

Since last Mt. Kinabalu trip, I've not been going back to Lahad Datu for quite some time. This time i take a different route, reach Kota kinabalu early in the morning then connected with the last flight to Lahad Datu. Must give a big thanks to Roger and Ted Earl for their kind hospitality, and also not forget Roger's wife, thanks a lot. Roger brought me to eat the best Tom Yam in KK, to enjoy the great drink somewhere in the sky. A beautiful good Friday.

Malaysia 12th Election is around the corner, every party is trying their best to fight as many vote as possible, of course the one with our tax money can print out all this colourful banner. This one i shoot when i'm on my way to work. Cannot use phone while driving, but we can use camera while driving.

Let me translate the wording in the yellow banner
"Talk only but didn't work, ROCKET bullshit"

See the yellow banner? Very obvious, this banner was put up by BN to fight agains DAP. This is very funny, BN itself didn't walk the talk, how come they talk bad about other party?

Yeah, this is a picture i took with my legendary Canon IXUS 400. I love this camera so much, but this lovely camera has been sitting in my drybox for the last one year. Luckily Canon Malaysia repair it free of charge.

After checking with OPANDA IExif, this picture was taken with setting f/13 and shutter 1/125.

This picture was taken when i'm on my way to work, what do you see?
4 persons were get paid but only 1 person working? or 0 person working.

Yes, that's exactly what is happening here. Relax and you'll live longer and healthier.

14/02/2008. Our friend, pink tze, came back from UK for a short vacation. We've lost contact with since we graduated back in year 2004. Me and my Queen have a good chat with her the whole night till the staff of that shop 'kick' us out of the shop.

Yeah, we talk a lot. You name it, we talk it. hahaha...
